So who am I?

I am a senior scientist and subgroup leader at the interdisciplinary Center for Translational Cancer Research (TranslaTUM) at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. I am working in the Heinz-Nixdorf-Chair of Biomedical Electronics under the TUM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am originally from Denmark where I also studied and obtained my PhD degree, but have been based in Munich in Germany since 2013.

What is my research about?

My core research interest is the application of label-free fluid and particle manipulation to biomedical sciences for developing novel characterization, diagnostic, and treatment platform technologies. I have a special interest in applying piezo-acoustics and automated microfluidic analyses to enable feedback control systems for pre-clinical and clinical life science tools, in particular to enable a quantitative understanding of organoids and tumors in complex micro-environments.
